West Indies Cricket Players
Cameron Cuffy
Cameron Eustace Cuffy (born February 8, 1970 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines) was a West Indian cricketer, who was often likened to Joel Garner and Curtly Ambrose. 6 foot 7 1/2 inches tall, he seemed to deliver the ball from the clouds. But there the comparisons ended with his famous predecessors. He was neither quite as fast nor quite as effective.
He made his Test debut against India in 1994 but was totally ineffective on the slow pitches there. It was a surreal sight watching a giant fast bowler being hit around the park, not being able to make much of an impression on the Indian batsmen.
He was in and out of both the Test and one-day teams in the 1990s and after 2000, his international career was over. As a batsman, he was a genuine rabbit, averaging 4.14 in Test cricket.
